Like many places over the world, my work, is worried about it’s car park becoming the haven of gangsters, car thieves and general criminal people. To stop this they are adding new lights into the car park. This they hope will stop the bad element from getting a hold on the car park.

                Of course there are problems with adding lights. Lights are easy to break or to become hidden under nearby growing foliage, then they’re useless. Put the lights on top of long poles so they can’t be reached I hear you say. This would be a good idea but it’s a well known fact that criminals these days carry large axes that could cut these down. 

                Back to the drawing board they went. So they have come up with an invisible tree that the lights are hung on. This way the criminal don’t know where the pole is to cut it down. But they may know where the pole is by the way the lights shine down from the tree.  They have thought of this and have made the lights invisible. All I can say is “genius”. They have put one of these in the car park where I work to stop crime. So far it has worked. The only problem is the leaves. The leaves become visible after they have fallen off the tree this means that in the autumn the tree is easily detected from the leaves coming out of what looks like thin air. At the moment they are looking into get some invisible evergreen trees to stop this.
